Amplifying the voices of the Nepali diaspora in the U.S.
Sampanna is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Computer Science and Economics. He moved from Kathmandu to the U.S. when he was five years old. From five to thirteen he spent most of his time in Savannah, Georgia, before he and his family moved back to Nepal. He came back to the U.S. for his undergraduate studies.
In our interview, Sampanna talks about what the social and educational transition back and forth between Nepal and the U.S. was like and how his experiences spending formative years in both countries has shaped the values he holds today.
